Dynamic Circuit Training & Toning:

Strength training programs do much more than just tone and tighten all muscle groups.  They also help you burn fat more efficiently and improve your bone density and respiratory capacity. During your circuit training routine, you’ll not only burn 400 – 600 calories in that hour, but also maintain a significant metabolism boost throughout the day.

Free weights are utilized to provide maximum range of motion and correct technique. Each muscle group is subjected to high-repetition intervals providing a full-body workout, from abs and arms to chest and back to legs and butt.  Additionally, we move quickly from one exercise to the next as we work through all the major muscle groups to keep our heart rate elevated for maximum fat burning.  We alternate strength training with 2-minute cardio intervals.

This class will give you the strength you need to excel at sports, get more out of recreational activities, reduce injuries to your back and joints, and maintain stamina and strength during your day.  You’ll burn fat to uncover muscles you never even knew you had, while developing core strength that will support you in a wide variety of activities.  This class is fun and never be the same twice!

Strength training programs are suitable for all levels of fitness and exercise experience.

Gentle Hatha Yoga:

This is a class for both new and continuing yoga students. We will focus on flexibility, breath, balance and incorporate postures that allow us to stretch and fully use our bodies in a supportive atmosphere with individually modified poses.  This gentle and slower paced approach make it more accessible to people of all sizes, ages, and fitness levels.  It is non-competitive and most positions are easily modified to fit the individual needs of the practitioner.  Chairs are available.

Yoga has been around for over 5,000 years and has proven itself to be a valuable complimentary approach to healing and nurturing the mind, body and spirit. Our style of yoga is not about twisting yourself into a pretzel; it is about gentle, slow moving postures that bring health, enjoyment, and well being into your life.  You will start to see an improvement in your health within a few classes!

Hatha Flow Yoga:

Hatha Flow links the postures practiced in a regular Hatha class into a sequence of movements that "flow" with the breath in a more vigorous series. Hatha Flow involves moving from one posture to another with very little rest in between and creates a strength building, cardiovascular workout.

Variations on the Sun Salutation are often used as a warm-up, followed, in no particular order, by a standing sequence, balancing poses, and seated poses. As in all Hatha classes, relaxation (Savasana) ends the class. Hatha Flow is open for beginners and continuing students interested in exploring a more movement-oriented and challenging class.  Hatha Flow builds strength, endurance, and a strong focus on on the movement-breath connection. The classroom is not heated, but the physical practice will naturally build heat in the body.  This practice is joyful, therapeutic, and inspiring.  You will find this class to be the "missing link" to your current fitness regimen.
